As 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup beckons in the UAE, Indian cricketers were recently put through a gruelling fitness drill, offering a glimpse of their preparation and resolve. Among those sweating it out were Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson and a host of teammates, who took on the demanding Bronco test as part of their build-up to the tournament.
Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav also took part in the test, as evidenced by viral pictures circulating on social media mere three days prior to the launch of the Asia Cup.
Bronco Test Is On As Asia Cup Prep Heats Up
Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, charismatic all-rounder Hardik Pandya and blistering opening batter Sanju Samson were among few ‘Men in Blue’ cricketers spotted performing a Bronco test at the ICC Academy on Saturday, September 6, i.e., mere three days prior to the launch of the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup.
As shared by RevSportz Global on their social media accounts, players were spotted sprinting across the ground in repeated shuttle runs, pushing their endurance levels to the limit in a drill designed to test both stamina and recovery. To view a video footage of the same, click here.
The Indian cricket team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, is set to enter the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup as defending champions, having won the tournament’s previous chapter back in 2023 (ODI) in Sri Lanka.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named India’s 15-player squad for the Asia Cup 2025 last month. Test skipper Shubman Gill was appointed as new vice-captain, as he makes his return to the national T20I setup after a gap of over a year. The Indian team will face UAE in their opening Group A match on September 10 in Dubai.
