Sachin Tendulkar in action
According to reports, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar is likely to feature in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series.Tendulkar had also featured int the inaugural season.
The tournament was started as an initiative to promote road safety by organising a league featuring ex-cricket legends.
The first edition of the tournament featured 7 teams - Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends, South Africa Legends, India Legends, West Indies Legends, England Legends and Bangladesh Legends.
Updates on the tournament
The tournament is all set to begin on 10th September 2022. Alongside Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Naman Ojha, Yusuf Pathan and Rahul Sharma are also likely to feature in the league.
A new team, namely New Zealand Legends is all set to join the 7 teams for its inaugural season.
A rocky start
In the first season the Indian Legends crowned themselves the champions but the tournament got off to a rocky start following the pandemic and lockdowns. The tournament originally scheduled to be held in March 2020 could only proceed halfway before being postponed to be played a year later in March 2021.
