In a great news for the Indian cricket fans ahead of the fourth T20I, Rinku Singh, the star India middle order batter has been declared fit by the Indian assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate and will be available for Friday's encounter against England. The left-handed batter missed the second and third T20I due to lower back spasm, but has recovered now and could fit into the XI for the penultimate game of the series in Pune.
In a press-conference on Thursday, the former Netherlands batter stated that Rinku Singh batted in nets on 29th January and is available to play in the fourth T20I in Pune. The confirmation comes as a big boost for India who struggled with the bat in the third T20I and failed to chase down the target of 172 set by the visitors.
India Likely To Bring Back Rinku Singh After Rajkot's Loss
Rinku's inclusion would mean that Washington Sundar might miss the cut as India already have three other spinners in their line-up. Rinku Singh played the first game of the series where he did not get to bat while Washington Sundar could not make much of an impact in the two games he played.
Along with Rinku Singh, Nitish Reddy also got injured after the first T20I. However, his injury is more serious and he has been ruled out for atleast four weeks. Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh were drafted into the squad after the injury news, and there is no clarity on their further association with the squad in the series.
