Chennai Super Kings can be called the most consistent team in the Indian Premier League. Much of this is often credited to MS Dhoni's outstanding leading skills. The huge fanbase of MS Dhoni do not shy away from crediting most of the franchise's five title win to the man's excellent game reading skills and adaptibility.

Disappointing his fans, MS Dhoni stepped down from the role of CSK captaincy and handed over the responsibilities to Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the first full season under a captain other than MS Dhoni, CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished at the fifth position in the points table.

Even though CSK did not make it to the top four in the last edition of the tournament, the fans and followers of the franchise are hopeful that the team will turn around their campaign in IPL 2025. The yellow army will start their campaign for the upcoming edition against their arch-rivals, Mumbai Indians. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad Reveals MS Dhoni's Participation In His Decisions

As the teams prepare for the tournament, the current CSK captain has given a key insight in MS Dhoni's participation in him leading team. In a recent video shared by Star Sports on their social media, Ruturaj Gaikwad revealed that Dhoni has given him full independence and does not interfere much with the decsions that the young batter makes on the field. 

"He said whateever you do is you responsibility. I will not interfere in any of you decisions. Only if I see that a certain angle of a field position is not right, I will step in. Otherwise this is your team, lead it in your way" - Ruturaj shared in the interview.

The statement by Gaikwad reveals how MS Dhoni is guiding the future leader of CSK. He is well aware that to lead a high-octane team like Chennai, Ruturaj needs to be a responsible leader and probably it is exactly what he is trying inculcate in him.
