On Thursday, during the Australia vs Oman ICC Men's T20 World Cup game, Mitchell Marsh announced that Pat Cummins would not be the part of playing XI. 

This led to a lot of questions as Cummins is easily one of Australia's most successful skippers and over the last one year anything he has touched has turned to gold from winning World Test Championship 2023 and ODI World Cup to reaching IPL 2024 Final as SRH's captain, he has done it all.

While he did not play the game interestingly he was seen in a new avatar, carrying water for all his teammates during the timeout.

Talking about the game, Australia batted first against Oman after losing the toss, however effortlessly succeeded in securing a 39 run victory over them due to the heroics of Marcus Stoinis' 67* and 3/19 along with David Warner's stunning 56 runs.
