The second Test match will be played at Edgbaston as the Indian team will aim to bounce back after the drubbing in the first game.

Sachin Tendulkar - 122 runs in 1996
The great Sachin Tendulkar was the first Indian batter to score a Test century at the historic ground of Edgbaston. The moment came during the 1996 India tour of England. In the first game of the series, Tendulkar started off with a low score of 24 in the first innings.
However, with India in trouble in the second innings, the "Little Master", showed his class against Dominic Cork, and Allan Mullally by slamming a scintillating century (122). Despite his efforts, India lost the match by 8 wickets.
Virat Kohli - 149 in 2018
The innings proved the class of Virat Kohli in tricky English conditions. It was the first match of the series and India at one stage was tottering at 100/5 in response to England's 287. However, what transpired was the batting of the highest quality as Kohli forged partnerships with tail-enders and played an attacking knock to slam 149, which till date is the highest by an Indian at this ground.
Rishabh Pant - 146 in 2022
India played England at Birmingham in the one-off Test match and even though the visitors lost the match in a one-sided fashion, Rishabh Pant emerged as the star player as he played an unimaginable counter-attacking knock to stun the English bowlers.
Team India had lost 5 wickets under 100 runs and they were in danger of getting dismissed cheaply. This is when Rishabh Pant, forged a partnership with Ravindra Jadeja and took down England with utmost ease. He hammered 146 off 111 balls and was particularly severe on spinner, Jack Leach as he conceded 71 runs in 9 overs.
Ravindra Jadeja - 104 in 2022
In the same Test match as Rishabh Pant, Jadeja showed his class and bailed India out of a tricky situation. While Pant was ultra-aggressive in his approach, Jadeja showed resilience and grit as he scored a well-compiled 104 and helped India post 416 runs.
