Virat Kohli's recent comments about his desire to visit Pakistan have garnered significant attention and appreciation from Pakistani fans. His statement has gone viral on social media, reflecting a warm reception across the border. 

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi responded positively to Kohli's sentiments and emphasized the importance of fostering better relations between the two cricket-loving nations. 

Earlier he has also been vocal about encouraging the Indian government to allow their cricket team to play in Pakistan, expressed his admiration for Kohli's stance. 


Shahid Afridi Invites Virat Kohli To Play In PSL

Shahid Afridi made these remarks during a public event in Karachi, welcoming Kohli either as a participant in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) or as part of the Indian national team.

"Thank you so much, Virat. We are waiting for you to come to Pakistan and play in PSL or with the Indian team. It would be good if you came with the Indian team,” he said.

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma also expressed interest in playing a Test series against Pakistan, further highlighting the player's willingness to renew cricketing relations. 

India and Pakistan, known for their intense cricket rivalry, will once again compete in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. This tournament will be held across the USA and the West Indies, beginning on June 1. 

India's campaign will start on June 5 against Ireland in New York. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash is scheduled for June 9 in New York during the group stage. Following this, India will face the USA on June 12 and Canada on June 15.
