The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released Player of the Month nominees for April 2023 in the men's category.

Three players included in the list are:

1. Fakhar Zaman

Pakistan's prominent white-ball batter Fakhar Zaman has been running through a scintillating form in the ongoing ODI series versus New Zealand.

His back-to-back hundreds helped Pakistan claim a 2-0 lead in the series. While Fakhar recorded a 117-run knock in the first ODI, he followed that up with an unbeaten 144-ball 180 in the next match.

Earlier in the month, the southpaw also had scored 47 runs in 34 deliveries in a T20 game against the BlackCaps.

2. Prabath Jayasuriya

Sri Lanka's left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya ran riot in a two-match Test series against Ireland.

Playing in home conditions, Jayasuriya claimed 17 scalps in the series, with a seven-for and a five-wicket haul highlighting his achievements.

The 31-year-old also reached a milestone of 50 Test wickets, leading the tally of spinners to do so.

3. Mark Chapman

As New Zealand came back from behind to draw the T20I series versus Pakistan, Mark Chapman played a primary role in pulling this off.

He was dismissed only once in the series and accumulated 290 runs, decorated with two fifties and a century.
