London Spirit skipper Eoin Morgan has hailed the bowling unit following a 17-run victory over Welsh Fire in Match 24 of Men's Hundred 2022.

Batting first, Spirit posted a total of 156 on the board, on the back of Daniel Lawrence's 43 and the duo of Adam Rossington and McDermott scoring 32 each.

Afterwards, Chris Wood and Lawrence scalped four wickets apiece to inspire Spirit to taste success and cement their place at the top position in the table.

In a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Morgan lauded bowlers for their composure during crunch moments.

The 35-year-old applauded the ability of the batting all-rounder, Lawrence, who prevailed in tough situations to secure a victory for the team.

Further, Morgan gave the rationale of enough left-handed batters in the Fire's lineup to bowl out Lawrence his full quota of 20 balls.

"Our bowlers did a magnificent job, we really thought it was an under-par score. I think they held their lengths really well. The ball spun and Dan Lawrence was hard as anybody to hit, which is an incredible performance from the batter who bowls," said Morgan.

Josh Inglis to replace Kieron Pollard in London Spirit

Morgan also confirmed that the all-rounder Kieron Pollard will not be available from the next game due to the Caribbean Premier League, which is slated to begin on August 31.

Aussie keeper-batter Josh Inglis will fill the place of Pollard in Spirit's XI against Oval Invincibles on Saturday (August 27) at Lord's.
