Team Abu Dhabi will cross swords with Fujairah in the most anticipated final of the ongoing Emirates D20 league on Tuesday (June 28). 

While Abu Dhabi qualified for the final after a thumping victory over Ajman in the first semi-final, Fujairah defeated Sharjah comprehensively by 6 wickets and entered the final in a grand style. 

Both the teams have played some spectacular cricket throughout the tournament, which is why we expect a cracking contest in the grand finale.  

Pitch report: The surface of the Malek cricket ground at Ajman traditionally tends to become slower with the progression of the game. The average first innings total at this venue is 151, which drops to 133 in the second innings. 

Further, the hot weather of the UAE causes the wicket to be on the drier side, thereby making it a paradise for the spinners in the latter half of the match. 

The aforementioned things make this ground a favourable one for the teams batting first. So, the team which wins the toss will most probably decide to bat first on this track in the final tonight. 

Head to head: Team Abu Dhabi have an abysmal head-to-head record against Fujairah as they have lost all four games against the Waseem Muhammad-led side. 

Fujairah emerged victorious by a margin of 46 runs the last time these two teams faced off against each other on June 25, courtesy of the magnificent batting performances by Usman Khan, Zeeshan Abid and Kashif Daud. 

Therefore, Fujairah can be considered the firm favourite to win the final.
