ECB Unveils Seven Year Plan: India's Tour of England in 2025, 2029 And Ashes Venues Revealed

England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has divulged the intricate details of upcoming fixtures, spanning an extensive period from 2025 to 2031. The apex cricketing council in England unveiled its plans for the highly anticipated India tour of England in 2025. 

ECB announces venues for India's Tour of England 2025 & 2029

The England vs India 2025 cricketing extravaganza will witness a series of five Test matches held at venues which include Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Headingley, and Old Trafford.

Moreover, in the year 2029, when India returns for another five-match Test series in the UK, Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Old Trafford, and The Ageas Bowl have been fixed as the venues for the clash between the two cricketing giants.

The ECB further revealed the allocated venues for the subsequent two Ashes series to be hosted in the United Kingdom, along with a host of other significant arrangements spanning the years 2025 to 2031.


ECB reveals venues for Ashes 2027 & 2031 along with vision for elevating England women's cricket

The high-octane Ashes 2027 will be played at the venues such as Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge, and The Ageas Bowl. Notably, The Ageas Bowl will be making its historic debut as a host for an Ashes Test which is definitely set to add extra frenzy to the already fierce rivalry between England and Australia.

Moreover, paying equal attention to women's cricket, the ECB has scheduled an exciting multi-format series between England Women's side and their Australian counterparts. As part of this thrilling series, a momentous Test match will be held at the Headingley in the same summer. 

The ECB's commitment to promoting and uplifting women's cricket is evident, as reflected in their decision to include long-term allocations for Women's international matches alongside the men's fixtures.

Coming to Ashes 2031, the games will be contested at Lord's, The Oval, Emirates Old Trafford, Headingley, and Trent Bridge. Furthermore, the Women's multi-format series during this period will feature another significant Test match at The Ageas Bowl.

The ECB also disclosed that Lord's will serve as the venue for England Women's team matches consistently throughout the seven-year period spanning from 2025 to 2031. Furthermore, Edgbaston has been designated as the host of the T20 Blast Finals Day.

The Chief Executive Officer of the ECB, Richard Gould, expressed the board's vision for the future and emphasized the desire to build upon the tremendous growth of Women's cricket in the years to come. 

"For the first time, we are announcing long-term allocations for Women's international matches as well as Men's. We have seen huge growth in attendances for Women's matches in recent years, with this year's Women's Ashes smashing previous records, and we want to build further on this in the years ahead.” said Gould as quoted by Cricbuzz.

According to him, this move also provides the venues with a sense of enduring certainty, enabling them to make sustainable investments in stadium improvements and enhance the overall fan experience.
