Dushmantha Chameera ruled out of Asia Cup 2022

As per emerging reports, star Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera has been sidelined from the Asia Cup 2022 owing to an unfortunate injury. 

Selectors have brought in Nuwan Thushara as his replacement.

Notably, Chameera has represented the island nation in 50 T20Is, scalping 48 wickets at a strike rate of 22.31. The right-arm seamer from Ragama was set to spearhead Sri Lanka's bowling attack in the tournament. Therefore, his omission is certainly going to affect the Lankan Lions adversely in the multinational event.
