Djokovic comes in support of Kohli, likes KP's post favouring the ex-Indian skipper

The legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli hasn't been at his best for quite a while now.  Battling with poor form, the former Indian captain averages just 25.5 across formats in 2022. 

However, many legendary athletes have stood by Kohli during this critical phase of his career. Yesterday, the former Indian captain earned himself a new supporter in the form of the iconic tennis player Novak Djokovic. 

Djokovic liked Pietersen’s post supporting Virat Kohli

England's ex-captain Kevin Pietersen had posted a message on his Instagram showing his support for Virat Kohli, which Djokovic liked. This significant event grabbed the eyeballs of millions of Indian fans as Djokovic is an influential figure in the tennis world. 

"Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There's way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You'll be back, @virat.kohli," read Pietersen's post, which the Serbian tennis legend liked.

The repeated failures of Virat Kohli have earned him massive backlashes recently. However, many prominent cricketers like Babar Azam, Shoaib Akhtar, and Kevin Pietersen have lent him their support. All these guys have rightly backed him due to his sheer class and prolific record. It will be interesting to see if Virat can prove them right in the upcoming games.
