RCB Special Jersey - (Source : @Johns/X.com)
On Saturday, May 3, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. It is one of the most anticipated game of the tournament as both franchises enjoy a great fanbase. The fans are expected to turn up in big numbers as two heavyweights are all set to collide.
The last time these two met were in this season when CSK hosted RCB and the visitors had defeated the Men in Yellow. The rivalry is at an all-time high and often the fans cross the limits while supporting this club. In the latest events, few visuals have been doing rounds on the internet where a few fans are distributing a special CSK jersey which is meant to troll the five-time winners.
Notably, the jersey is white and black and it mentions 2016-17, which were the two seasons that CSK were absent from the IPL because of the fixing scandal that hit the side during those years.
The authenticity of the images can't be verified but several social media users have posted this and have indicated that these jerseys are indeed being sold outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB Fans Reply For the Lollipop Joke
The fans are assuming that the ongoing special CSK jersey sale outside Chinnaswamy stadium, is a hit back at CSK fans who mocked the three-time finalists with red-coloured lollipops inside the Chepauk Stadium during CSK vs RCB match earlier this season.
The CSK fans walked out with fake Lollipops. The motto for the day at Chepauk, the fortress of the Chennai Super Kings is - 'Ee Sala Cup Lollipopu..'. This is mockery of the war cry of RCB fans - 'Ee Sala Cup Namde'. This literally means, 'This year the cup is ours'.
