Former Australia star batter David Warner continues to script records after his retirement and spread his magic in T20 leagues across the globe. At present, the southpaw is playing in the Hundred and is enjoying a golden run with the bat.

The 38-year-old has amassed two consecutive fifty-plus scores for London Spirit and has surpassed his friend and Indian counterpart Virat Kohli to become the fifth leading run-getter in T20 cricket.

Warner Inches Closer To Gayle's Tally

Warner, who featured in his 419th T20 match on Monday, August 11, against Manchester Originals, played a match-winning 70-run knock and went past Virat. The 38-year-old now has 13545 runs, while Virat is sixth on the list with 13543.

Warner has closed his gap on Chris Gayle, who leads the chart for most runs in T20 cricket. Here is the full list as Warner needs around 1000 more runs to go past the Universal Boss.

Notably, Warner is expected to go past Shoaib Malik in this elite list in the next match as requires just 16 runs to take the fourth spot on the list.

Warner Finds The Rhythm In The Hundred

David Warner has found the rhythm in the ongoing Hundred season as the southpaw has scored 150 runs in three innings, averaging 75. He failed in his first match, but scored a brilliant fifty in the second match, followed by a brilliant 70-run knock.

Prior to the Hundred, Warner was struggling for runs as he featured in MLC 2025, where the southpaw scored 114 runs in six innings, averaging only 19.

Shedding light on Warner pipping Virat Kohli in the list, the Australia batter can enjoy that spot for a while as Virat will not play a T20 game until next IPL in March 2026.
