Cricket West Indies have announced a full schedule of their home series against England, set to be played out in December 2023.

The English cricket team will be touring West Indies this year, after the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Notably, they will be entering the tournament in India as defending champions, having won the title back in 2019 at home.

England to play eight limited-overs matches in West Indies

Current ODI and T20I World Cup holders England are scheduled to play three ODIs and five T20I matches in West Indies in December this year. The tour will commence with the ODIs, with Antigua hosting the first two games of the series.

The action will then shift to Barbados for the third ODI and the opening T20I affair. Grenada will host the subsequent two T20I games before the tour concludes in Trinidad with the final two fixtures of the series.

Cricket West Indies Chief Executive Officer Johnny Grave expressed his delight in hosting England for the limited-overs internationals later this year. He claimed that the series will serve as a major economic boost for them as the hosts, and will also help them in venue preparation and planning of hosting next year’s T20 World Cup. He said:

“This tour will be a major economic boost to the host countries, as well as providing our fans with the chance to see some of their favourite players in action against one of our biggest rivals. The tour will also help with our ongoing venue preparation and event planning for one of the biggest events ever to be staged in the region, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which takes place in June next year.”
