The Australian team under the astute leadership of Pat Cummins has bagged numerous trophies, starting from the World Test Championship, to the 50-over World Cup in India.

The team has been led superbly by Cummins, and they have achieved success across formats. However, it seems that the Australians themselves have no clue about cricket and the success achieved by their team.

Australian citizens fail to recognise Cummins, Head

In a recent video that has gone viral, a content creator conducted a vox-pop, asking the Australian citizens about World-Cup winning Aussie cricketers.

Surprisingly, the citizens had no clue, and couldn't recognise the players. The creator opens up the video with a simple question, “Have you heard of Pat Cummins or Travis Head?” While a few people chose to ignore the question, majority of them had no idea about the players who have given so much joy to their nation.

Towards the end of the video, an Indian-origin man appeared, who stated that he had heard of Virat Kohli,, but had no idea who Pat Cummins is.

Since then, the video has gone viral, with one of the user writing: “What a shame for ICC, cricket is dying in Australia."

Another use took a sarcastic dig at the Aussie citizens, stating: “There is a saying in Australia that the second most important post after PM is their Cricket Captain. Very surprising to see so many haven’t heard of Pat Cummins.”

Following the exit from the T20 World Cup, Australia are yet to play a series. They will next feature against Scotland and England in a white-ball series, starting next month.
