Rohit Sharma got his name associated with the 'unwanted' record of 17 ducks in the 14th Match of the Indian Premier League against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium. 

Rohit Sharma, the former Mumbai Indians captain flopped for the first time when he faced Rajasthan Royals speedster Trent Boult and got out for a golden duck. 

He was not able to handle the scrambled seam, the ball kissed the edge of the bat and the RR captain caught him behind the stumps. The Star batter got his name associated with an unwanted record as he surpassed Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh and Dinesh Karthik’s tally for most ducks in the IPL, with 17 to his name.

Rajasthan Royals bowler Trent Boult also scalped two more wickets in the form of Naman Dhir and Dewald Brevis who entered the field as an impact player for Mumbai Indians. The two batters registered golden ducks and Mumbai batting collapsed in no time. 

Ishan Kishan departed after Sanju Samson caught him behind on Nandre Burger's delivery. Hardik Pandya came as a rescue for Mumbai Indians and played a quickfire of 34 runs in 21 balls. As of writing, Mumbai Indians are 113/8.

Mumbai Indians have failed in the previous two games against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
