Australian captain Pat Cummins is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest modern-day fast bowlers by fans and cricket experts the world over. Making his debut at a tender age of 18 with a baptism of fire in South Africa back in 2011, Cummins went on to conquer nearly all titles the game has to offer in the subsequent years of his career.

Pakistan batting maverick Babar Azam and explosive South African batter AB de Villiers also seem to be smitten with the fast-bowling exploits of the lanky Australian pacer, as evidenced by their recent interaction on the ‘AB de Villiers 360’ YouTube channel.

Pakistan batter Babar Azam interacted with AB de Villiers on the latter’s YouTube channel on July 20. When asked to reveal the name of the toughest bowler he has ever faced in his career, Babar promptly picked Australian bowling giant Pat Cummins as his nemesis.

AB de Villiers also agreed with the assessment, and described Cummins as one of the “toughest bowlers” he has crossed paths with in international cricket.

A veteran of 62 Test matches, Pat Cummins has picked up 269 wickets for Australia at an impressive average of 22.53. The speedster also led Australia to a historic win in the 2023 WTC final over India.

In limited-overs internationals, Cummins bagged a T20 World Cup in 2021 and an ODI World Cup in 2015 as a player. In November 2023, the cricketer clinched his second ODI World Cup, albeit as a captain by defeating tournament-favorites India in a high-octane final.

So far in his career, Pat Cummins has collected 476 wickets across all international formats.
