Melbourne Renegades spinner Adam Zampa stole the limelight with a brand-new look in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 on Monday. Known for his flamboyance both on and off the field, the leggie showed up at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) for the clash against Sydney Sixers with a stunning transformation.

Adam Zampa Unveiled Stylish New Look While Bowling for Renegades

Adam Zampa revealed his freshly dyed platinum blonde hair and a slick short cut. Pair that with his signature tinted glasses, and the bowler looked every bit like a walking style statement. Zampa, who’s no stranger to trying out funky hairstyles, once again proved he’s got more than just variety in his bowling arsenal.

The 32-year-old’s new blonde look stood out as much as his line and length, making him hard to miss on the field. While some bowlers let their skills do the talking, Zampa clearly enjoys mixing style with spin.

The cameras couldn’t get enough of him as he steamed in with his blonde locks, and social media lit up almost instantly. Fans loved Zampa’s vibes: quirky, confident, and unapologetically him.

Renegades Post a Fighting Total

Meanwhile, Zampa’s Renegades put on a decent show with the bat. Tim Seifert anchored the innings with a solid 55 off 42 balls, smashing six fours and a six along the way. Skipper Will Sutherland added some firepower late in the innings with an unbeaten 36 off 28, ensuring they reached 169/7.

Despite a few wasted starts from Jake Fraser-McGurk (21) and Josh Brown (22), the Renegades put up a competitive score for their bowlers to defend.

Zampa Tight But Wicketless So Far

At the time of writing, the Sixers are 81/2 after 9.4 overs, and Zampa has been keeping things tidy. He’s bowled two overs, conceded just eight runs, but the wickets column remains empty. Thomas Rogers and Kane Richardson have done the damage so far, dismissing Josh Philippe and Jack Edwards.

With 89 runs needed off 62 balls, it’s still anyone’s game. Zampa, though, will be eyeing a breakthrough moment to make his presence felt beyond his unique hairdo.
