The upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) is all set to begin on Sunday, (December 15), with defending champions Perth Scorchers taking on Melbourne Stars in the electrifying season opener at Optus Stadium, Perth.

The BBL 2024-25 tournament will run until 27 January, with the group stage concluding on 19 January. A total of 44 matches will be played across various venues in Australia. 

The BBL 2024-25 format includes a series of exciting stages: the Qualifier, Knockout, and Challenger matches leading to the final. Matches will take place every day from 15 December, except for the Christmas break on 24 and 25 December.
