On Friday, November 29, the BCCI unveiled new jerseys of the Indian team in the presence of BCCI secretary Jay Shah and Women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
The new jersey has been designed by Adidas, the official shirt sponsor of the Indian Men's and women's teams. The BCCI took to Twitter to drop the video featuring the new jersey. "Mr Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary, BCCI & Ms Harmanpreet Kaur, Captain, Indian Cricket Team unveiled #TeamIndia's new ODI jersey," wrote BCCI on their Twitter handle.
New Jersey Re-Introduces TriColour On The Shirt
The new design features a lighter shade of blue, and it has dropped the orange shade around the shoulder that was present in the previous jersey in which the Men's team reached the 2023 World Cup final and won the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Further, the new jersey features tricolour around the shoulder area, reminding fans of previous jerseys. The jersey has drawn a mixed response from the fans as a few criticised it badly, while others appreciated the effort and called it better than the previous one. Here are few reactions.
