The 2023 World Cup is set to conclude with the forthcoming final between hosts India and an insurgent Australian unit on November 19. The much-awaited title clash will be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

As it turns out, fans slated to appear at the venue will also be graced by a number of prominent events set to be organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

World Cup 2023 final to feature airshow among others

As confirmed by the BCCI as well as by the ICC, the World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia will be preceded by an airshow set to be performed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) above the stadium.

Several aircraft were recently spotted rehearsing for their performance, and the ICC shared a video of their training regime on their social media accounts.

Apart from the pre-match air spectacle, the BCCI will also be honouring all prior World Cup-winning captains. Moreover, fans attending the 130,000-seater Ahmedabad stadium will be treated with a musical performance from Indian music composer Pritam.

Meanwhile, on the cricketing front, Team India will be heading into the final off the back of their 10-match unbeaten run in the competition. Under Rohit Sharma, the ‘Men in Blue’ had earlier become the first nation to qualify for the World Cup 2023 semifinals as they finished the league stage at the top of the points table.

On the other hand, Australia signalled their tournament campaign with successive defeats upfront at the hands of India and South Africa. Thereafter, Pat Cummins and co. launched their own eight-match unbeaten to storm into the title clash.
