A day after Team India routed New Zealand in the first semifinal, Australia edged over South Africa to join tournament hosts in the final of the 2023 World Cup. The two teams will now collide in the forthcoming title clash, set to be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After several reports suggested that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will be attending the iconic venue to witness the proceedings, additional reports suggest that the Indian Air Force will likely be performing an air show for fans prior to the final.

Indian Air Force likely to perform at World Cup 2023 final

According to a report from PTI, the Indian Air Force will be performing an air show for the Ahmedabad crowd prior to the World Cup 2023 final.

The match marks a culmination to the 45-day cricketing carnival, which commenced at the very same Ahmedabad venue back in October last month.

On the cricketing front, the Indian team will be heading into the contest off the back of an unbeaten run. Under Rohit Sharma, the ‘Men in Blue’ won each of their nine league fixtures to secure a number one finish on the World Cup 2023 points table.

Sharma and co. subsequently ravaged New Zealand in the first semifinal at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Australia team, on the other hand, has won eight matches on the trot after losing their initial two fixtures upfront. They recently defeated South Africa to book a place in the finals, where they will be chasing their sixth World Cup title.
