BBL 14: How Many CSK Players Will Be In Action In Australia's Elite T20 League?

The 14th edition of the Big Bash League is about to start from 15th December. There will be a few player in this edition of the BBL, who has been bought by various teams in the IPL 2025 auction. 

In this article, we will take a look at the CSK players who are a part of the latest edition of BBL. Notably, only two players from CSK's IPL 2025 squad will be a part of the Big Bash League 14. Here is a look at the them - 

Jamie Overton

The English all-rounder was bought for his base price of INR 1.5 Cr. This player will be a part of the Adelaide Strikers in BBL 14. Jamie Overton is known for his power hitting lower down the order and some effective overs in the middle and death phase of an innings.

If we look at the BBL career of Jamie Overton, we will see that in nine matches he has scored 85 runs at a strike rate of 139.30. As far as his bowling is concerned, Overton has picked up 16 wickets in nine matches of BBL while conceding runs at an economy of 8.06. If we see his overall T20 career, then in 148 matches Overton has picked up 100 wickets at an economy of 8.97. While batting he has scored 1,368 runs in these 148 matches at a strike rate of over 160.

Nathan Ellis

During the IPL 2025 auction there was minor bidding war for Nathan Ellis between the Punjab Kings and the Chennai Super Kings. Ultimately, Ellis, whose base price was INR 1.25 Cr was bought for INR 2 Cr by CSK. This Australian pacer his known for his exploits in the death overs.

In BBL, Nathan Ellis has played 61 matches and has picked up 73 wickets in them. In these games he has maintained an economy of 8.25, while picking up a wicket every 19 deliveries. As far as his IPL career is concerned, Nathan Ellis has played 16 matches and has picked up 18 wickets in them while having an economy of 8.60. The numbers show that he is pretty efficient in his role and CSK management will be keeping a keen eye on how he performs during BBL 14.
