In a significant development, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming series against Ireland. The Tigers will host the Irishmen in five international matches, including two Tests and three ODIs.
BCB reveals schedule for Ireland tour of Bangladesh
The Irishmen are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on November 6 to begin their preparations for the Test series, which will be followed by a three-match T20I leg. The tour will comprise five matches across three different venues- Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram.
Ireland's tour of Bangladesh will start with a two-match Test series. The first game will be played at the picturesque Sylhet stadium from November 11 to 15, while the iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium will host the deciding contest from November 19 to 23.
Meanwhile, all T20Is of the three-match series will be played at the Bir Shrestho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram.
Ireland tour of Bangladesh 2025 schedule
- 1st Test: November 11-15, Sylhet International Stadium, Sylhet
- 2nd Test: November 19-23, Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
- 1st T20I: November 27, Chattogram
- 2nd T20I: November 29, Chattogram
- 3rd T20I: December 2, Chattogram
This will mark the first-ever full-fledged Test series between Ireland and Bangladesh. In 2023, these two teams faced each other in a one-off Test, which Bangladesh comfortably won by seven wickets.
Bangladesh to host West Indies before Ireland series
Before taking on Ireland, Bangladesh will host the West Indies for three ODIs and T20Is after the ongoing Afghanistan series. Despite missing Litton Das, Bangladesh have performed admirably against Afghanistan, sealing the series with two consecutive victories. The ODIs will be played between the 18th and 23rd of October in Dhaka, while Chattogram will host the T20Is from the 26th to the 31st of the month.
