Babar Azam's Bat Company Insults MS Dhoni With A Distasteful 'Never Heard Of' Remark

MS Dhoni is a global phenomenon. His fan following and influence is unmatched in cricket. Thus, it is quite natural for his fans to get angry when someone insults thala or fails to recognise him. 

A similar instance occurred on Wednesday, July 24, when leading bat-manufacturer Gray Nicolls insulted MS Dhoni on their Facebook page.

Notably, Gray Nicolls, who sponsors the likes of Babar Azam, and Kane Williamson, uploaded a post on Facebook where they took a dig at keepers who don't use their bats and wrote, "Are you even a wicketkeeper if you don't use Gray-Nicolls? Great to see Jamie Smith and Josh Da Silva keeping wickets in the ongoing Test series."

One of the users got offended by the post and wrote, "Are you aware of a keeper named MS Dhoni?". The company replied to the post and wrote, "Never Heard Of Them.."

The reply did not go well with the MSD fans and the company had to face a heavy backlash. 




There are reports that Gray Nicolls pays $250,000 annually through sponsorship to Babar Azam to use their sponsored bat. 

Talking about MS Dhoni, then the 42-year-old has maintained a suspense over his IPL future. However, there are reports that Rishabh Pant might move to CSK ahead of IPL 2025.
