Gaddafi Stadium's floodlight had issues during PAK vs BAN match (X.com)
One of the floodlights at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium went out during Pakistan's Asia Cup match against Bangladesh on Wednesday (September 6). The development brought humiliation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who had been the sole hosts of the tournament before India's concerns forced them to co-host it with Sri Lanka.
The incident happened after the fifth over of Pakistan innings, by when the Men in Green added 15 runs without losing any wicket. Both Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq were at the crease, as they came to chase a below-par 194 against Bangladesh.
Unsurprisingly, cricket fans on social media were furious after the happening. While many have criticised PCB for such a silly error at Gaddafi during a blockbuster Super Four fixture, the others consolidated the board acknowledging this as a one-time thing.

However, play resumed after around 15-minute break, as the Gaddafi Stadium ground staff did not take much time to resolve the issue.
