The Assam men’s cricket team is all set to travel to Namibia for unofficial five-match one-day series this June. The matches will be played against the Namibia national team and will take place in the capital city, Windhoek, from June 21 to June 29, 2025.

This special tour has been arranged by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) to give their senior players international exposure and match practice ahead of the domestic season. While these games are unofficial ODIs, they are still very important for the team’s growth.

Before heading to Namibia, the Assam team held a six-day training camp from June 11 to June 16 at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati. The focus was on simulating match situations and adjusting to the chilly winter weather expected in Namibia.

Young batter Danish Das will captain the side, and Subhrajit Saikia, who currently coaches Assam’s Under-19 team, will guide them during this tour. This series is an important part of Assam’s preparation for the upcoming season.
