Asia Cup 2022: Virat Kohli registers 3500+ runs and 100 sixes mark in T20Is

Legendary Indian superstar Virat Kohli added yet another jewel to his crown on Thursday night as he breached the 3500-run mark besides hammering his 100th six in international T20s.

As a result, Kohli has now become just the 2nd batter in the history of T20I cricket to rack up in excess of 3500 runs. The legendary cricketer achieved the milestone during the ongoing Super-4 fixture against Afghanistan in Dubai.The 33-year-old is the fastest to get past the 3500-run mark. While Rohit Sharma- the leading run-scorer in T20Is- took 128 innings to achieve the landmark, Kohli has taken just 96.



Apart from this, Virat also went to smack his 100th six during his knock against Afghanistan. Overall, the former skipper has scored 3519 runs at an average of 51 and a strike rate of 137.19. 

Kohli went on the complete his 71st century in international cricket, finally moving past Ricky Ponting to register himself as the 2nd person with most centuries to his name in international cricket, just below the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
