South Africa Have dealt More Injuries Ahead Of the Champions Trophy 2025 as David Miller, and Lungi Ngidi have also dealt blows recently. The two stars got injured during their stint with respective teams in the ongoing edition of SA20 2025.

Notably, Miller, who plays for Paarl Royals, pulled up his groin during his side's SA20 match against Durban's Super Giants. The incident occurred in the 14th over, when Miller tried to stop the ball but got injured.

David Miller Got Injured

The extend of the injury was such that Miller left the field immediately. However, he did not come out to bat in the run chase. Despite his absence, the Royals had it easy as they chased down the target in 19.5 overs with six wickets in hand.

"My right groin is a little tight. It's just a little tweak. Tried to get off before it could get any worse," Miller remarked after his injury. At present, the injury does not look series but the Proteas would be keeping a keen eye on his fitness as Champions Trophy is less than a month away.

Lungi Ngidi Battling Injury

Notably, Lungi Ngidi is also out with a groin injury and is on a course of recovery. Royals' coach Trevor Penney provided an update on his injury. He Remarked:

"With Lungi, we know big fast bowlers like him, they sometimes needed a couple of weeks to get back into that full flow and the rhythm. It's a tough thing for fast bowlers. He was out [with a groin injury] for like eight weeks. So he's on a programme where he's almost back now. So we played him in the first few games so he could get some game time. And I'm sure when we go to the Highveld, he's going to be straight back in."

Things are looking tough for South Africa as they already have been hit with several injuries so far. Anrich Nortje is out, while Gerald Coetzee too recently returned from injury.
