Russell Agrees To Sourav Ganguly's SA20 Proposal: Report
As reported by West Bengal's prominent newspaper Najarbandi, Kolkata's biggest cricketing icon Sourav Ganguly, who is now associated with the JSW group, invited Russell to play for Pretoria in SA20.
After KKR secured a thrilling win over Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, Ganguly had a brief chat with Russell, even managing to get his nod of approval for a potential SA20 debut. If he dons the Capitals' jersey, it will be Russell's maiden appearance in the tournament since its inception in 2023.
Pretoria Capitals finished the inaugural SA20 as the runners-up before suffering a group-stage exit in the subsequent season. Considering they failed to live up to the expectations last year, the Capitals are aiming to revamp their core by adding impactful performers like Russell to their setup.
