West Indies' comeback man Andre Russell, after the highs of the first T20I against England, witnessed a rather harrowing experience in the second encounter on Thursday evening.

The second T20I between the West Indies and England at Grenada saw the hosts notch up a close 10-run win and take a crucial 2-0 lead in the five-T20I series.

For Russell, however, the match was a nightmare with the ball; they got canned for 66 runs in his quota of four overs without claiming a single wicket, which is now the most expensive spell by a West Indies bowler in T20I cricket.

Russell edged past Obed McCoy's record of 66 for two, which came in 2022 against India. Keemo Paul is third on the list, having given up 64 runs against New Zealand in an T20I in 2020.

The fourth spot is occupied by Kesrick Williams, who got hammered for 60 runs in the famous T20I against India in 2019, where Virat Kohli's comeback gesture against the bowler went viral.

With the bat, Russell scored a quick cameo, slamming 14 runs off ten balls, helping his side reach past the 170-run mark.

The 35-year-old is making a comeback into the T20I squad for the West Indies after 2021 and has contributed instantly. In the first T20I, Russell exhibited a perfect all-round show, first picking up three wickets and then slamming a match-winning 14-ball 29.
