Australian Superstar Duo Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry Withdraw From The Hundred 2023

Australian star cricketers, Ellyse Perry and Alyssa Healy, won't be part of The Hundred Women's 2023 due to injuries. The highly anticipated 100-ball cricket competition is scheduled from August 1 to 27.
Both players are also sidelined from the ongoing third and final ODI against Ireland at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin. In Healy's absence, Tahlia McGrath took on the captaincy for Australia's last ODI.
Perry was set to play for Birmingham Phoenix, while Healy was all geared up for Northern Superchargers. However, their plans were disrupted, and they will now undergo non-surgery rehabilitation in Australia. The duo aims to return to action in October when Australia takes on West Indies in a T20I series.
Healy, who acted as stand-in captain during the recent Women's Ashes series, suffered a fresh fracture on her already broken index finger on the left hand. On the other hand, Perry encountered a knee problem that requires four to six weeks of recovery time, as stated by Cricket Australia (CA).
Northern Superchargers swiftly replaced Healy with her fellow Australian teammate Phoebe Litchfield. However, Birmingham Phoenix is yet to announce a stand-in for Perry.
Apart from Perry and Healy's absence, there have been other replacements in The Hundred. Oval Invincibles opted for Scotland's Hannah Rainey to replace the injured Beth Langston. Welsh Fire, on the other hand, enlisted Chloe Skelton as a replacement for Georgia Davis.
Additionally, India's cricket sensation Jemimah Rodrigues joins Northern Superchargers as a cover for the injured Heather Graham. This will be Rodrigues' third stint with the Superchargers, having represented them in the previous two editions.
