Bangladesh bowling coach Allan Donald reckons that it's important for the bowlers to be street-smart in the shortest format, otherwise, the game can teach them harsh lessons.

Tigers had a disappointing bowling outing in the first fixture of the ongoing T20I series against Zimbabwe, wherein they conceded 205. The fast-bowling trio of Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam gave away 137 runs in their quota of 12 overs.

However, Rahman and Islam came back stronger in the second game, with a combined economy of 8.35, while Taskin sat the second game out. Bangladesh won the game easily by chasing down the target of 136, with more than two overs to spare.

"South Africa were all out for only 90 runs against England the other day. So, T20 is such a game that teaches you harsh lessons. And in this game, I see a 24-ball puzzle that you need to solve and that's being street smart," said Donald.

Donald has further outlined that Bangladesh are currently working on their approach when it comes to bowling in the shortest format and the Tigers will look to build on their recent performance and continue their momentum in the upcoming games.

ZIM vs BAN T20I Series set for a thrilling finish

The T20I series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh is tied 1-1, and it has come down to the final game on Tuesday (2 August). Zimbabwe will look to bank on contributions from the all-rounders, Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl.

On the other hand, the Tigers have the in-form Litton Das and Mosaddek Hossain to guide them to successive T20I series victories in the African country.

However, the visitors will miss the services of captain Nurul Hasan, due to a fractured finger. In place of him, Mahmudullah has been added to the squad.
