After Wimbledon, MS Dhoni Spends Time With JSCA Officials And Players In Ranchi

Former India captain MS Dhoni made a notable appearance at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) in Ranchi on July 10, where he was seen clicking pictures with top JSCA officials and senior and junior state players too. 

The gathering came just weeks after Dhoni’s induction into the prestigious ICC Hall of Fame, an honour that has further cemented his legacy as one of cricket’s all-time greats.

MS Dhoni Was Felicitated By JSCA 

MS Dhoni who was last seen celebrating his birthday at Wimbledon, might have landed in Ranchi a day back to join the JSCA meeting. Earlier, in June, after his ICC Hall Of Fame induction, JSCA president Ajay Nath Shahdeo, along with other senior office-bearers, congratulated Dhoni.

The board hosted a special felicitation ceremony to celebrate his Hall of Fame induction, with Shahdeo expressing admiration for Dhoni’s extraordinary achievements and his enduring influence on Indian and Jharkhand cricket.

MS Dhoni And His Bond With JSCA

Dhoni’s connection with the JSCA runs deep. Born in Ranchi, he rose through the ranks of local cricket before making his mark on the international stage. He was granted life membership of the JSCA, recognizing his immense contributions to the state’s cricketing profile and his role in inspiring countless young cricketers from the region. 

Over the years, MS Dhoni has continued to mentor and interact with Jharkhand’s players, often practising with state squads and supporting grassroots initiatives.

Dhoni's Roots In Ranchi

Regarding his early domestic career, Dhoni began playing first-class cricket for Bihar in the 1999-2000 season, before representing Jharkhand following the state’s formation in 2000. His performances for both teams paved the way for his selection to the Indian national side.

Dhoni’s recent felicitation by the JSCA and his continued involvement highlight his lasting bond with Jharkhand cricket, a relationship built on mutual respect, inspiration, and an enduring legacy that transcends records and accolades.
