In a significant development to the MCG Test that starts on December 26, India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has landed in hot waters after Australian media accused him of ignoring them during a press conference.

Notably, on Saturday, December 21, Jadeja held a small interaction with the press after the practice session, which featured Indian and local reporters. Meanwhile, Channel 7 has accused Jadeja of not answering questions in English.

They also remarked that Ravindra Jadeja stated that he was being late for the team bus and termed the press conference as strange. The channel reported that the team media manager had also invited Australian reporters for the presser, but they were amused after Jadeja only spoke in his native language.

Indian Media Slams Channel 7

The controversy that is now spreading like fire on the internet has another development as Indian media has jumped to Jadeja's defence. The media claimed that it is Jadeja's right to speak in his native language and for the foreign media to translate it.

Institutions like Revsportz have cited examples of players like Lionel Messi, who struggle with English. They also remarked that unnecessary controversy has been created because of the whole Virat Kohli saga.

Virat Kohli's controversy with Channel 7 Reporters

When India were departing for Melbourne, Kohli had a slight altercation with a Channel 7 reporter, where he accused the channel of recording his children without his permission.

Virat was unhappy with the incident and even expressed his displeasure to the reporters over the incident. Meanwhile, Channel 7 were adamant on their stance and remarked that it was a public space and they were allowed to film him.
