A Power-Hitter With A Legacy In T20 Cricket
Hazratullah Zazai, known for his explosive batting at the top of the order has been a pillar of Afghanistan’s white-ball setup since making his international debut in 2016. In 16 ODIs, he has amassed 361 runs while his T20I exploits have been even more impressive, racking up 1160 runs with a century and five half-centuries.
He remains second on the list of highest individual scores in T20Is, thanks to his blistering 162 off 62 balls against Ireland in Dehradun where he smashed 11 fours and 11 sixes in a record-breaking display.
Six Sixes And T10 Masterclass Heroics
Zazai’s reputation as an explosive boundary-hitter was further cemented in the 2018 Afghanistan Premier League where he emulated Yuvraj Singh’s legendary feat by bludgeoning six sixes in an over off Abdullah Mazari.
More recently, in the Abu Dhabi T10, Zazai teamed up with Mohammad Shahzad to chase down 108 runs in just eight overs for the Bangla Tigers and showed that his power-hitting is as dangerous as ever.
