Rajasthan Royals have finally found their mojo again. After what looked like a shaky start with two consecutive losses, Sanju Samson and his men bounced back impressively with two wins on the trot.

They first got the better of Chennai Super Kings in a thrilling contest in Guwahati and followed it up with a dominant victory over Punjab Kings away from home. As a result they have four points under their belt and are sitting at the bottom half of the points table.

The Royals will now look to continue their winning momentum and climb further up in the league standings. Captain Sanju Samson, who played a crucial role in their last victory over Punjab, partnering with Yashasvi Jaiswal to give the team a solid start, will have to play another significant role in their next fixture against Gujarat Titans as he also eyes some significant personal milestones ahead.

Sanju Samson, who made his T20 debut for his state team Kerala way back in 2011, has steadily grown into one of India’s most reliable T20 performers. He has represented the India in T20 internationals and featured in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals.

Sanju Samson’s overall IPL dismissal tally stands at 98 for Rajasthan Royals and during his little two-year stint with Delhi Daredevils in 2016-17 period. While his primary contributions for Delhi came in the field rather than behind the stumps, he was electric and hardly gave anything away to the batters on the field.

Samson has taken a total of 23 catches while fielding, 59 behind the stumps, followed by 16 quick stumpings as well. He is now just two dismissals short of the 100-mark and become the only the 13th player in IPL history to achieve this feat, further solidifying his all-round value on the field.
