The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to kickstart from September 9, and as always, one of the most anticipated clashes of the tournament would be between India and Pakistan. There has been a long history of tensions between the two countries, and recently, it escalated even further after a deadly Pahalgam terror attack.

There are calls that India should boycott matches with Pakistan, but it looks highly unlikely now. These off-field tensions have also garnered a lot of attention for India-Pakistan matches, and broadcasters have benefited from it over the years. 

Sony Sports Network Sets Massive Price For India's Asia Cup Matches

Now, an Economic Times report has stated that Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has set ad rates during India's Asia Cup matches at a whopping price of 14 to 16 Lakhs. It includes a high-profile encounter between India and Pakistan as well.

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has secured the media rights of the Asia Cup till 2031 for $170 million. Therefore, the tournament will be aired on Sony Sports Network and will be streamed on SonyLIV. 

"Asia Cup will see good demand since it's happening in the pre-festive season, and the India-Pakistan match is a big draw. This year, Diwali is coming early, so a lot of advertising activity will begin in September," said Navin Khemka, president-client solutions, WPP Media, as quoted by Economic Times.

The Asia Cup 2025 will see eight teams going up against each other. The teams are divided into two groups, and both India and Pakistan can potentially play each other three times in the tournament if they qualify for the final.  The group stage clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be played on September 14 while tournament will kick-off with a clash between Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
