Will Shan Masood Trust The Winning Combo? Karachi Kings' Probable XI vs Islamabad United

Karachi Kings strive to pack a strong punch as they gear up for a pair of critical Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches. 

The famous franchise is scheduled to lock horns with Islamabad United in their subsequent league-stage encounter on Wednesday (February 28) before taking on Quetta Gladiators the very next day. 

Shan Masood-led Karachi Kings have had a three-day break since winning a thrilling encounter against Lahore Qalandars. Clinching the riveting clash would've provided an immense boost in the camp, with Kings now staring at two very important matches on the bounce. 

Masood's men would be hoping for a positive outcome in the face-off against the Islamabad franchise, giving them the momentum and the confidence to try and topple off former champions Gladiators. 

Two more victories in their kitty would help the Kings take a giant leap towards securing a playoff birth in the tournament, where they are currently placed fourth after losing one and winning two of their three games. 

The Kings were in the news on Tuesday (February 27) for signing New Zealand's aggressive wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert. The experienced Kiwi smasher bolsters their batting resources and gives them an extra overseas option in the squad. 

However, it seems unlikely that Seifert will immediately make it to the Kings' playing XI for the clash against the United as Masood's men appear set to retain a winning team after clinching victories in their previous two matches. 

Even though their Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Muhammad Akhlaq couldn't quite leave a mark in the last match against Qalandars, he will likely be given confidence and assurance. 

Besides, Akhlaq can't be replaced by an overseas player in the side unless the Kings want to rejig their overall balance to squeeze in Seifert.
