Mumbai Indians released Hardik Pandya ahead of IPL 2022 and Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from the tournament before IPL 2023. This has created a vacuum in the team where they need hard-hitting batters who can also contribute with the ball. This is where players like Tim David and Cameron Green come in. So, the absolute need of the franchise for a player like Green makes it plausible that the Aussie will play his debut IPL match in the season.
2. Harry Brook : The English young batter has taken the cricketing world by storm. Harry Brook is pitched in the next big thing in world cricket. He has showed great dynamism and the adaptability to bat in all forms of cricket. Brook was bought for INR 13.25 Cr by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Royals do boast of the presence of Shimron Hetmyer in the middle-order. But the major concern for the West Indian is his inconsistency. So, if in mid-season, Hetmyer fails to deliver upto the expectations we might see that Ferreira is making his debut for the Royals.

Raza has been in excellent all-rounder form in the private leagues that he has been playing. Raza's presence will provide solidity to a rather feeble Punjab middle-order and also provide the management with an added bowling option. So, there is every chance that Raza will be making his debut in IPL 2023.
5. Joe Root: The English star batter is considered as one of the greatest batter of all time. In order to prepare himself for the upcoming ODI World Cup, Root put his name in the auction and was bought by Rajasthan Royals for his base price of INR 1 Cr.
