It's time for the Indian Women's team led by Harmanpreet Kaur to start off a tough three-match ODI series against world champions Australia Women. Aussies are almost unbeatable and it is very rare to see them lose a game in any format in women's cricket. However, India is one team that has troubled them in the recent past, and it promises to be a cracking series with two quality teams going head-to-head.

India Women recently won the ODI series against New Zealand Women at home, and would be high on confidence. Australia Women, on the other hand, last played an international game in T20 World Cup 2024, and it turned out to be a heartbreaking match with the defending champions crashing out of the tournament in the semifinal. They would now look to start afresh in the longer format and will be without Alyssa Healy.

The Indian camp also have injury concerns with Yastika Bhatia and Shreyanka Patil out of the ODI series. There are some young players in both the squad and let's now see who are the three players to watch out during the series.

Ellyse Perry is arguably the best women's cricketer in the world and whatever is the situation and whichever is the format, she always finds the way to deliver big performances. She can win matches for her side both with the bat and ball, and can win the game single-handedly when it is her day. She was also the leading run-scorer in the recently held WBBL, so she has form on her side, and so we can expect her to continue that in the format where she averages over 50 in 147 ODIs.
