How Will The R. Premadasa Pitch Behave?
The pitch at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo is expected to offer decent batting conditions, with spinners likely to play a major role with the ball. With even bounce and decent pace on the track, the batters will be able to score runs without much hassle, while spinners are likely to get the ball rolling as the match progresses, with the pitch turning and getting slower with time.
The pacers might not get much from the surface whereas, they will have to be consistent with their line and length to ensure batters don't find it easy, even when conditions don't favour them. Going by the trend in the series, the side chasing the target will get the advantage here, since two out of three games have been won by the side batting second. Hence, the team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
