Rishabh Pant added a fresh new milestone to his IPL profile on April 12 during Delhi Capitals’ away match against the LSG at Lucknow. Leading his side in match number 26 of the IPL 2024 season, the dashing wicketkeeper-batsman batter shared a 50-plus partnership with Jake Fraser-McGurk as the Capitals easily overhauled their run-chase task.

Through the course of his knock, Pant also recorded the 3,000th run of his IPL career, thus becoming only the 25th cricketer to do so in the history of the tournament.

Rishabh Pant made his return to competitive cricket through the ongoing IPL 2024 season after a gap of nearly 15 months. The 26-year-old celebrated the occasion by punching out back-to-back half-centuries against CSK and KKR at Vizag.

Roughly a week later, Pant unfurled another batting masterclass, this time against LSG in a tense run-chase at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. Through his latest innings, the Delhi Capitals skipper also completed 3,000 runs in his IPL career, thus becoming only the 25th cricketer to do so.

Rishabh Pant achieved the feat during the 11th over of the Delhi Capitals innings when he nudged a single off Ravi Bishnoi to reach 9*.

Pant also became only the sixth specialist wicketkeeper-batsman to reach the landmark figure in IPL, thus joining the likes of MS Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson and Quinton de Kock.

The Delhi Capitals skipper was eventually out stumped by KL Rahul and Ravi Bishnoi to walk back into the sheds at 41. Following his latest knock, Rishabh Pant’s IPL tally now stands at a staggering 3,032 runs from 104 matches at an average of nearly 35.
