Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium: Is the surface batting or bowling friendly?

If we focus on the stats, then Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has been a high-scoring track. The pitch favours the batters and it was seen during IPL 2024. The SRH batters wreaked havoc in Hyderabad, where almost every match saw 200+ runs on the board.

It will be a flat track as the average first innings score on this track is 204.6. Further, dew also doesn't play a big role here and also if it does appear, then the bowling team isn't in disadvantage as the umpire would provide them with a second ball from the 11th over. Nonetheless, the pitch doesn't change its nature as the game progresses and the chasing team too put big scores on the board.

Talking about the bowlers, then seamers still have a slight chance of creating an impact as 55 wickets fell in 6 matches in IPL 2024 at this venue and 41 of them were taken by the seamers, which constitutes to 74.5%. Meanwhile, the spinners would be having a nightmare as they have had just 24.5% wicket-share at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in IPL 2024.
