The Champions Trophy 2025 is about a month away. All the eight teams that will be involved in the competition are preparing themselves for the marquee event.

The governing body of international cricket, ICC, have given 12th January 2025 as the deadline for all the teams to submit their squad for the tournament. If reports are to be believed, India would be revealing their squad a day earlier on 11th January.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been one of the most popular teams in the IPL. Even though they have not won the title in 17 years, they have given some high-class talents to the Indian national team. The IPL 2025 squad of RCB also contains some talented players knocking at the doorsteps of a national selection. However, in this article, we will look at three such players who will probably not get a call-up in the CT 2025 for India.

3. Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal made headlines in IPL 2024 after he played a crucial role in RCB's qualification to the play-offs. Since then, he has been in discussion for a chance on the national team. Yash Dayal has also done decently in the domestic tournaments, strengthening his claim to a spot in the Indian side. However, India already has plenty of options, which include experienced blokes like Jasprit Bumrah and youngsters like Harshit Rana in the pace department. Considering India's current problem of plenty in the department, Yash Dayal will surely miss a call-up in the CT 2025 squad.

2. Jitesh Sharma

The young Indian wicketkeeper has proven to be a great option in the lower middle order, especially in T20s. Jitesh Sharma's presence in the batting line-up could increase the depth. However, with Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja in the mix, India has plenty of options who can play a role in ODIs. The other options are much more experienced than Jitesh, which the team will need on the big stage; the 31-year-old might not be a part of the Champions Trophy squad this time.

1. Rajat Patidar

The dynamic middle-order batter played a crucial role in the dramatic turn-around that RCB scripted during the second half of IPL 2024. Rajat Patidar's consistency made life easier for the whole team during the phase. Besides being a gun performer in the franchise league, Patidar has also done well in other domestic tournaments. However, India's options in this case are also plenty, and there is little chance that the management will look over players like Rahul, Iyer, Pant and others to include Patidar in the CT 2025 side.
