IPL 2025 starts in five days as Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Kolkata Knight Riders on March 22 at the Eden Gardens. The fans are eagerly waiting for the 18th edition of IPL as their favourite idols will take the centre stage and will be a source of entertainment for the next 2 and a half month.
With each passing year, the game has inclined towards the batters, and more and more runs are flowing each year. The 2024 season was a testimony to this statement as teams were breaching 250+ runs score for fun.
A total of 14 centuries were scored in IPL 2024, which was the most in any season. Further, the edition saw 13 different centurions. 1. Rajat Patidar -RCB
RCB captain Rajat Patidar is definitely one of the contenders to score the first century of IPL 2025. Luckily for Patidar, RCB are playing the first match of IPL 2025, and he can bring up a century on the first day of the new season.
Further, Patidar is in great form with the bat and it led to his appointment as RCB captain. Looking at his recent stats, then he was the best player in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he scored 428 runs in nine matches and averaged 61.14.
He also led MP to the final alongside scoring runs for his side. His stint also saw fifty-plus scores. Thus, Patidar is one of the strong contenders to be the first centurion of IPL 2025.

2. Abhishek Sharma- SRH
Abhishek Sharma needs no introduction. The southpaw has built a reputation of just dealing in sixes. Abhishek formed a formidable pair with Travis Head and wreaked havoc in IPL 2024. Sharma scored quickfire runs, and it seemed that he, alongside Head, were on a mission to touch the 300-run mark in T20 cricket.
Further, Abhishek is in top-form as he smashed a brilliant century against England in the recently concluded T20I series. He had a brilliant series and followed up a fifty with a 135 (54) in the fifth T20I.

Jaiswal is also aggressive in his approach and showed the same in IPL 2024. He scored 435 runs in 15 innings and averaged 31.07.
