Mumbai Indians (MI) are riding high on confidence after gaining two successive victories.

Although Rohit Sharma and Co. began their season on a bad note as they failed to get off the mark on the points table. However, wins against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders have put them in eighth position.

The side's next meeting is scheduled against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 18 in an away fixture.

Let us predict MI's playing XI for their upcoming match.

Openers: Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma

Mumbai Indians's openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma are slowly getting back to their bests as both the batters have smashed the fifties in one of their previous two outings. Though Rohit was used as an Impact Player against Kolkata due to a stomach bug, he will walk into the starting XI if the health issue is resolved.

Middle-order: Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera and Tim David*

It will be an understatement to call MI's middle-order explosive. Having the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma and Tim David in their ranks, Mumbai arguably boasts of the best middle-order among all the teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

While Tilak has been a consistent performer for them, Suryakumar and David too showed glimpses of their prowess against the Knight Riders.

Barring the knock versus Royal Challengers Bangalore, Nehal has not done much for MI but is still a solid prospect to have.

All-rounders: Cameron Green, Hrithik Shokeen and Arjun Tendulkar

Cameron Green is MI's primary all-rounder and he has underperformed in IPL 2023 as of now.

Hrithik Shokeen and Arjun Tendulkar are more of bowling all-rounders. The former fared well in the game against Kolkata as he took two wickets while conceding just 34 runs. Arjun too bowled a terrific first over to start off his IPL career.

Bowlers: Piyush Chawla, Jason Behrendorff and Riley Meredith*

Piyush Chawla has been the mainstay of MI's bowling line-up and has claimed five scalps in four matches at an economy of 6.25.

Jason Behrendorff missed out on the previous game, the reason for which is not known. He may make a comeback in place of Duan Jansen, who gave away 53 runs in his debut IPL match.

Jofra Archer is still unavailable for Mumbai Indians and Riley Meredith will continue to play in the XI.

If MI bat first, Meredith can be their Impact Player.
