The Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been one of the most followed teams in the IPL. Though they have the biggest followers base in the tournament, they have not yet won the title once. 

One of the major issues with RCB has been the way they have approached and strategised the auctions. However, as per the experts and the cricket fans, they have done better in the IPL 2025 auction than the other years. In this article, we will take a look at three players from IPL 2025 RCB squad who have done well in 2024.

During the IPL 2025 auction, RCB bought Phil Salt for INR 11.50 Cr. The English batter did brilliantly for KKR in IPL 2024, during their championship run. Given his show for the defending champions and his impact at the top for England RCB decided to make him a part of the set up. 

Phil Salt has scored 467 runs in 15 innings in 2024 in T20Is at a strike rate of 164.44 and an average of 38.92. The numbers show that he has left an decisive impact at the top for the English team and that makes him one of the top performers for RCB in 2024.

2. Jacob Bethell

This young English all-rounder made his international debut in 2024 and has so for impressed everyone with his displays. Jacob Bethell has batted in 19 innings in this year and has scored 600 runs in them at an average of 42.85. While these numbers are already impressive, Bethell's performance in the T20Is are even more encouraging from RCB point of view.

In T20Is, Bethell has played six innings and has scored 173 runs in them at a strike rate of 167.96 while having an average of nearly 58. Given this show by the young English player, RCB will be happy that they spent INR 2.6 Cr to secure his services for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

1. Josh Hazlewood

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru released Josh Hazlewood ahead of the IPL 2025 auction and then repurchased him during the event for INR 12.50 Cr. The Australian bowler's performance in 2024 will encourage the RCB management.

Hazlewood bowled in 30 international innings in 2024. In these 20 innings, Hazlewood has picked up 50 wickets at a remarkable average of 20.52. Given the performances, the Aussie pacer has shown, if he stays fit till IPL 2025, RCB will be more than happy to have him as a part of the team.
